Features of a non-fiction text

A content page is a page that tells you what charters or stuff about the book.

A index is where it tells you information .

A glossary tells you the meaning of some words.

A diagram is a picture with words to tell you about the body.


A map tells you where it comes from.

My Reflection

I am learning about the features of a non-fiction text.

It was tricky to know which was the index page and the contents page.

I was proud when I knew what a glossary is.

Next I will use this skill to work on other non-fiction texts.

I found it tricky to know which number is the numerator and which is the denominator.

I'm proud that now I know about thirds and quarters.

What is a pencil?

What's a pencil?

A pencil is a thing that you write with. A pencil is made out of wood. Some pencils have rubbers on the back of them . It can sharpen. At the back is flat and if you did something wrong you can rub it out.
Some pencils have a hexagonal shape.  They have 6 sides. You can write and draw with a pencil. They can come in other shapes.

I am learning to write an explanation.

It was tricky to describe the pencil.

I was proud when I found good words about the pencil.

Next I will use this skill to explain other objects.

3D shpes

I was learning to do 3D shapes. It was tricky to draw the shapes I was proud when I write the words 

Next I will go faster.To describe the shapes I used faces corners and edges.

2D shapes

I was learning to do 2D shapes the angles and sides I was proud when I finished my work. It was tricky to think how many angles and sides. Next I will be faster at working.

Dream houses
